In the last few years I find myself starting more mysteries that I never finish. Once I've put them down I never get around to picking them back up. This one stayed the course and I'm looking forward to the next one. (Yes there is another book in the works.) I would especially recommend this one to fans of the Jesse Stone series. It has the same feel without trying to imitate. I would like to see some of the characters in the Outer Banks community revisited and further developed. There are palpably intense moments without reliance on bizarre situations or characters.Product details

Super fun, fast-paced read. Loved the diving stuff. I'd like to read more from David James - especially more Outer Banks stories with Ben Harmes!
Harmes' Way was an excellent read that kept me connected from cover to cover. Very impressed and would recommend this to anyone.
I enjoyed this book. I thought the story, writing, plotting, and character development were pretty good; and I like stories set in the Outer Banks. However, the dialog was often a bit stiff, and there were some technical errors (typos, grammar) that could also have been caught if the book had been better edited. I still liked it, though; and it would be nice if this book were the beginning of a series.
Good storyline. Fast paced action. The author develops his characters well. The author accurately describes the geography of theOuter Banks of North Carolina.
Enjoyed this book from start to finish. Written as well as the publisher type books. Highly recommend, especially for people who go to the Outer Banks since all of the landmarks will be easily recognized.
